This has to be one of the most exciting and chaotic events we’ve been involved with. To launch the new Converse ‘Chuck Taylor II’ (a modernisation of one of the world’s most iconic sneakers) a party was thrown to celebrate the creativity associated with the shoe. Working with leading experiential agency, Exposure, we were asked to provide a little ‘artistic direction’… to a room of 500 of Europe’s key musicians, artists, fashion aficionados and subculture figureheads … all armed with paint bombs and high-pressure paint sprayers! As paint was distributed in every direction, images created by cult artist, Parra, began to materialise on the surrounding, previously white canvases. The canvases had been pre-primed with a special finish that enabled the images to be revealed as the paint was scattered about. Beauty emerging from chaos.
