This is our biggest mural to date, and at 75M long x four storeys high it was also the biggest mural in the UK! We were contacted by ECE Architects and their creative partner Creative Forager, shortly after a talk we gave on our Studio’s work and our inspiration from the 60s ‘Supergraphics’ movement. After two successful public art installations for Adur & Worthing council, they were looking for a new project to celebrate Worthing’s recent boom in popularity, forward-thinking and creative culture. They wished to transform the brutalist architecture of the visually unpopular Grafton Street carpark into an enormous piece of art. We set about planning a design that represented current mood and energy and proposed the wording ‘Right Now’, fittingly also an anagram of ‘Worthing’. The design was created and painted by our lead artist Ricky Also in his typographic style, and we’re very proud to see the work featured in Thames & Hudson’s, ‘Supergraphics’ book.
